Welcome to my page!

The Lord your God is with you,
the Mighty Warrior who saves.
He will take great delight in you; in his love he will no longer rebuke you but will rejoice over you with singing.
Zephaniah 3:17
Great Delight was a name I had to think long and hard about. What sort of idea do I want to communicate as the main idea or focus of this page? As I was thinking, I came across one of my favorite verses which comes from the book of Zephaniah. I love the image that is described in this verse where God is depicted as one who is “with [us],” a “Mighty Warrior who saves,” one who takes “great delight in [us],” and one who “rejoices over [us] with singing.” I think this is a powerful visual of our God. He is simultaneously a mighty warrior who saves and one who loves and rejoices over us with singing. These are such opposites and yet our God can be both simultaneously. So, I think that if He who created all can take great delight in us, why can we not also take great delight in Him? That will be my aim in this blog: that we could see ways in which we can live in such a way that we are taking great delight in the Lord at all times.

What can you expect from this blog? I have a heart for discussing the ways in which the Church works and how we could be living more into our lives as Christ followers. Most posts with either pertain to my specific calling to music ministry and its many facets, but it will also encompass things such as Christian living, generational struggles, current events, and anything along that vein. I also like to read and have been working on getting into reading more nonfiction so I will occasionally give you a little book review and–hopefully–one day have a list of recommended books.
Thanks for visiting my site! I’ve long thought of doing this and now we get to join in this adventure together! As time goes on, I will upgrade the site, so it isn’t always as bare bones as it is currently. We’ll just have to embrace the process as we go along. I hope you enjoy what you read and please, if you do enjoy it or have any ideas, leave a comment for me to read.
